As a chapter of the national Audubon Society, our purpose is to conduct education, science, and charitable activities to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

April 23rd: Bird Behavior: Learning, Breeding, and Personality Webnar

We would like to ask our recipients to reach out if they are familiar with anyone on their township board who might be interested in pursuing Bird Town status.  They can get in touch with Marla Miller or AAS President.

Additionally, for residents of Fairview Township, the Comprehensive Planning Commission is looking for people interested in the environment to be informally interviewed.  To participate contact Deb Latsha at dml1980@hotmail.com

Saturday, April 27th, 9am – 3pm – assisting at AAS’s Spring Native Plant Sale.

The city of Harrisburg has partnered with us to host some bird walks this spring and early summer. Staff from the city will be present, but we will also need at least one trip leader from AAS to attend each date.
