As a chapter of the national Audubon Society, our purpose is to conduct education, science, and charitable activities to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

We would like to ask our recipients to reach out if they are familiar with anyone on their township board who might be interested in pursuing Bird Town status. They can get in touch with Marla Miller or AAS President.

Saturday, April 27th, 9am – 3pm – assisting at AAS’s Spring Native Plant Sale.

Diakon Wilderness greenhouse will be in need of volunteers to pot up native plants in the greenhouse so they can be ready for the spring sales. The city of Harrisburg has partnered with us to host some bird walks this spring and early summer. Staff from the city will be present, but we will also need at least one trip leader from AAS to attend each date.
